Michael Bollig is Professor for Anthropology at the University of Cologne (since 2000) and Speaker for the Collaborative Research Centre Arid Climate and Cultural Evolution in Arid Africa. Since 2011 he is the Vice-Rector for International Relations and Diversity at the University of Cologne and since 2013 the Vice Speaker for Key Profile IV and Global South Studies Centre Cologne. He is also a member of the Member of the Executive Board of the Society of Africa-related Sciences in Germany.
