The winter term at Morphomata International Center for Advanced Studies will start with an introduction of our fellows and a lecture in which Dominik Perler (Berlin) will discuss ideas of the beyond in the late Middle Ages: How is a resurrection possible at all? How can a person be present with the same body? Or more generally: How can there be a personal identity into the afterlife? And what significance does an understanding of the beyond have for the present? The lecture will explore these questions.
The talk will be held in German.

Morphomata is looking forward to welcoming the following fellows in the upcoming semester: Andrea Allerkamp (Western European Literatures, Frankfurt Oder), Clemena Antonova (Art History, Vienna), Reinhard Förtsch (Archaeoinformatics, Berlin), Jörn Lang (Classical Archaeology, Leipzig), Carlos Spoerhase (Literary Studies, Bielefeld) and Jan Wagner (Author and Curator Poetica 6, Berlin).
