In biography and portrait art, conventional forms of description fix the representation of a person on central characteristics; open, experimental forms, on the other hand, include contradictions and peripherality. The conference explores the historical, cultural and media diversity of such forms of closure or opening and examines the thesis whether open forms belong only to modernity.
We’re looking forward to welcoming all of you there!
