Käte Hamburger Centers

Under the auspices auf Käte Hamburger, a scholar of German literature (1896–1992), there are currently ten research institutes being funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) as part of the "Freedom for Research in the Humanities" initiative. The Käte Hamburger Centers are academic insitutions intended to strenghten German research in the Humanities and to support international networking.

Morphomata was founded in April 2009 and annually invites around ten noted scholars from different fields and countries to become Fellows. With the Fellows forming the core of a learning community, Morphomata attempts to transcend national borders, disciplines, and theoretical frameworks.
